How Much Do Bloggers Earn?

How much do bloggers earn?

I get this question often, and in this post, I’m going to tell you just how much you could earn from blogging and whether it’s a lucrative endeavor at all.

I have been a blogger for years, and I can tell you that there is no better time to start blogging than during this time of the pandemic.

Blogging For ProfitWith more and more people working from home, the idea of blogging as a way to earn some extra money will just continue to grow in popularity.

The truth is, you can make a lot of money through blogging.

Blogging As A Business

The term “Blog” is short for web log.

When the internet started becoming popular twenty years ago, people would blog for the sole purpose of publishing their work online.

Internet users would post their school work, diary, or hobby on their blog page.

Everything changed when Google Ads was born in 2000.

Since then, people would not only blog as a hobby.

People started creating websites for their businesses big and small and used blogging as a means of driving traffic to their website and increasing sales.

First, let me give you a reality check—a blog is not your business.

This is a truth that bloggers out there need to hear badly.

I often see posts from bloggers complaining that they can’t seem to make money with their blog.

It’s also not uncommon to see dead blogs from bloggers who have already given up.

This should not be the case for them, and this should not be the case for you, too.

What's Your StoryNow, you can turn your blog into an income-generating machine, but only if you know how to do it the right way.

If you can’t, then you must not think that blogging alone will make you rich.

What do I mean?

The best way to make money through blogging is to use it as a way to promote an existing business.

If you don’t have an existing business and think blogging alone will get things done for you financially, you have to think twice.

But then again, if you know how to do things the right way, it’s possible for you to make lots of money through blogging.

I’m talking about affiliate marketing.

It’s one of the ways people are making thousands of dollars these days through blogging.

It’s not as simple as it sounds, though, which is why before you even try to do it, you need to get yourself trained first.

And that’s where Wealthy Affiliate comes in.

When I first entered the internet marketing world, I did things on my own.

I learned a lot of things from my experience, but my breakthrough happened when I learned about Wealthy Affiliate.

I’m going to talk more about Wealthy Affiliate in a while, but if you want to know more about it, you can proceed to this page right now.

It’s All About Traffic

Bloggers Ned Constant TrafficAnother thing aspiring bloggers need to know is that blogging is not a get-rich-quick kind of thing.

Blogging is good, and like everything good,

it takes a lot of hard work and effort.

So, how much do bloggers make?

How much could you potentially earn with blogging?

Again, blogging alone won’t make you rich if you don’t know how to do it the right way.

However, if you know exactly what you’re doing as a blogger, you could earn as much as $1,000,000.

YES, You read that right.

The sky’s the limit when it comes to the earning potential of blogging.

But like any other business, that doesn’t happen overnight.

If you’re someone who’s willing to publish blog posts that add value to people’s lives three to four times a week without fail, you could potentially earn as much as $10,000 monthly during your first year.

Over time, that could grow and triple.

But then again, the increase in potential sales is directly correlated with the amount of time, money, and effort you put into it.

Another important thing you need to understand is that blogging success is all about traffic.

Blogging Is Bot Fun And ProfitableThe more traffic your blog site receives, the more revenue you will earn. I

t’s not impossible to make $0.10 per page view in various blogging niches nowadays across affiliate ads and display ads.

Let’s say you get 1,000 views a month.

That’s equivalent to $100 per month of earnings.

And if you can get up to 100,000 page views in one month, that means earning up to $10,000 per month off your blog.

But then again, consistency is the key.

You must produce valuable content consistently so that your readers turn to followers—followers who trust you.

Soon, your high-quality blog posts will start getting ranked in Google search results and will turn into income-generating tools that will be the foundation for your blog’s success.

Choosing A Niche

The purpose of a blog is to share your thoughts and express yourself with written words.

Do you need a niche to do that?

No, you don’t.

But that’s if you’re not aiming at making money off your blog site.

That’s right. Niche matters, because it will bring the right people to you.

Deciding on a niche is deciding who your audience will be. And when it comes to niches, you need to be very specific.

If you’re passionate about health and well-being, for instance, you can’t just focus on the health niche in general, because the health industry is pretty massive.

So, instead of focusing on the niche as a whole, pick a specific area related to health and stick to it.

If you’re into gaming, decide whether you’re going to target the online gaming, MMORPG, or first-person shooter niche.

It’s also good to ask yourself specific questions regarding niches when brainstorming.

First, ask yourself whether a specific niche you’re considering is something you’ll be still willing to commit to a year later.

This is a big one.

You will find the internet today littered with blog sites where the author would start off strong for a month, posting three times a week.

After a month, that number drops to twice a week, then to one post a month, then to one post every six months, until the site just loses traction.

Once you’re settled with this, the next question to ask is whether there are people who will actually read about your chosen niche or whether it’s going to make money at all or not.

For this one, a little keyword research should do the trick. We’ll teach you how to do that as well.

I’m not going to go into details here, but these are some of the most important things you need to consider when picking a niche for your blog.

How To Make Money From Blogging

There are countless ways you can make money from blogging.

As I’ve mentioned, you can use a blog to drive traffic to an existing business.

Alternatively, you can sell products directly on your blog site.

Your site can be an online storefront for vending all types of products, both physical and digital.

For instance, if you have a talent in t-shirt printing, you can sell customized t-shirts on your blog page.

If you love photography, you can also sell high-quality photography compositions.

The truth is that there is no limit to the kinds of physical products you can sell via a blogging site.

You can sell digital products, too, but you already know that. You can eBooks, for instance, or online courses.

Most website builders today allow you to integrate an online store where potential customers can directly do their shopping.

Building An Online BusinessIf you’re using sites like Shopify or Magento, these sites come with eCommerce integration that lets you sell your products directly through your site.

On the other hand, WordPress doesn’t come with eCommerce integration, but you can always download plugins that let you do the same.

As for me, I build my blog sites using Wealthy Affiliate’s website builder.

If you sign up with Wealthy Affiliate, you will automatically receive a free websites that you can readily customize and use as your main blog site and store for products you might want to sell.

Aside from selling products, you can also do affiliate marketing.

As I have mentioned earlier, affiliate marketing is one of the top ways people make money online.

Affiliate marketing lets you gain commissions by promoting someone else’s products through your blog page.

White Button with Web Traffic on Computer Keyboard. Internet Concept. It requires hard work and perseverance.
